The World Amateur Radio Day (WARD) is celebrated on April 18. 2023 was marked by an important event – the visit of the ITU Secretary-General Mrs. Doreen Bogdan-Martin to the 4U1ITU club station in Geneva (Switzerland). For the first time, an amateur radio station of the United Nations appeared on the air through the geostationary amateur radio satellite “QO-100”.
What better moment than #WorldAmateurRadioDay to make our first QSO on QO-100 from the 4U1ITU station. Today we celebrate our global community of radio amateurs and honor the many achievements of your service. Thank you for your continued support. 73 and 88 from KD2JTX… Over!
