We are in the Guinness Book of Records

The largest number of amateur radio contacts in a year is 93,856, and was achieved by Andrey Fedorov (OE1ZZZ / KL1A / RW3AH) in Vienna, Austria, on 31 December 2018.

This achievement was performed on a Kenwood “TS-590SG” HF Transceiver, a Russian Linear HF Power Amplifier (QRO 20-10m only) “BURST-2000A”, a 2-elements three-band Yagi antenna “XL-222” and two EFHW long wires antennas (160m – 10m bands).  Logbook – N1MM (DX expedition mode) and MSHV Application for FT8/4 Modes.

Andrey made the contacts using the call sign 4U1A from the International United Nations Amateur Radio Contest DX Club (ARCDXC) at the Vienna International Center (VIC) in Vienna, Austria.

We thank the members of the ARCDXC Club for their technical support and preparation for this great event.

We also express our gratitude to the commission of the Guinness Book of Records for their assistance. The assessment was detailed and painstaking.
